Why this site exists

Vancouver punishes a vague plan. Most of what people fly in for is outdoors and free, while the paid attractions sit far enough apart that the wrong order eats an afternoon on a bus. There is a suspension bridge you pay for at Capilano and one you cross for nothing at Lynn Canyon, a short drive apart. Stanley Park is free to enter, its parking is metered, and the aquarium inside it is a separate admission.

So every price, opening hour and closed day here is read off the official page of the attraction itself and stamped with the date it was read. Each page prints the quarter it was last reviewed in. Where an official source does not state a figure, the page says not stated rather than borrowing a plausible one.

Where the information comes from

Admission prices, hours, closed days and ticket names come from the attractions themselves: capbridge.com, grousemountain.com, vanaqua.org, scienceworld.ca, vanartgallery.bc.ca, moa.ubc.ca, vandusengarden.org, vancouverlookout.com and flyovercanada.com, plus seatoskygondola.com, whistlerblackcomb.com and butchartgardens.com for the day trips. City rules and civic-facility hours come from vancouver.ca, visitor information from destinationvancouver.com, fares and zones from translink.ca, sailings from bcferries.com and airport detail from yvr.ca.

Each page prints its own source and check date, because a ferry fare and a museum admission are not read on the same day. Tour prices, durations, ratings and review counts are the booking platform's own published numbers, compared on Vancouver tours and Vancouver tickets.

How prices are shown

Most readers here are not Canadian, so prices are written in US dollars first with the Canadian price in brackets, like $18.12 (CA$25). The bracketed Canadian figure is the one you hand over; the US figure is there so you can size it up before you commit. The conversion uses the European Central Bank reference rate, not a bank's retail rate and not a card issuer's, so anyone can reproduce the number.

It is refreshed on Vancouver costs, which carries the current rate and what cards, tipping and the sales tax added at the counter do to a daily budget.

What we do not claim

There is no invented author here and no claim that anyone from this site queued at a turnstile on your behalf. We do not operate or personally conduct these tours, and we inspect no attraction and audit no operator. We hold no bookings either: every Check Availability button hands you to the platform the tour is sold on, where the price and the cancellation window are theirs.

Official ticket offices are linked plainly, with no tracking, whenever buying direct is the better move, which for several attractions on things to do in Vancouver it is.

How the site pays for itself

Tour and ticket links go to GetYourGuide, and the stay buttons on where to stay in Vancouver go through Stay22 to hotel booking sites. Book through one and the platform pays us a commission out of its own margin, at the price you would have paid anyway. That funds the research and buys nothing else: not placement, not a rating, not the wording of a recommendation.

Where the official ticket office is cheaper, the page says so even though that link earns nothing. The detail is on the affiliate disclosure page.

Corrections

Vancouver hours swing with the season, attractions rename their tickets and transit fares move. If a number here is out of date, write to us with what you found and when you were there. A corrected figure is worth more than a defended one.
